<0000>은 관람객의 움직임에 반응하여 이미지가 변형되는 인터랙티브 설치 작품이다. 화면에 등장하는 텍스트는 작가의 다이어리에서 발췌된 원본 텍스트를 기반으로 한다. 그러나 관람객이 전시 공간을 돌아다니거나 작품 부근으로 신체적 개입을 할 때마다 텍스트의 조사, 어순, 일부 표현이 미세하게 바뀌며 다른 의미를 생성한다. 때때로 텍스트 대신 전면에 이미지가 등장하며 관람의 순간마다 서로 다른 서술로 작성된다. 이 작품에서 텍스트는 고정된 기록이 아니라 타인의 개입에 의해 끊임없이 갱신되고 오독되는 기억의 상태를 상징한다. 관람객의 움직임은 단순한 드리거나 아닌 텍스트를 변화하는 외부의 힘이나 서사의 공저자로 기능한다. 그 결과 개인적인 기록이었던 다이어리는 전시의 이름으로 관람객에게 내보여지며 공적 텍스트로 전환되고, 계속해서 시각적으로 다른 메시지를 전달하는 작품으로 존재한다. ‘0000’이란 숫자는 아무것도 기록되지 않은 것처럼 보이지만, 동시에 모든 것이 덮어씌워질 수 있는 초기값이기도 하다. 시계의 00:00, 코드 오류로 나타나는 숫자, 혹은 초기 비밀번호처럼 이 숫자는 시작과 끝, 기록과 소거가 구분되지 않는 상태를 나타낸다.

    0000 is an interactive installation work in which the image is transformed in response to the movement of the viewer. The text appearing on the screen is based on the original text extracted from the artist's diary. However, whenever a viewer travels around the exhibition space or physically intervenes near the work, the investigation, word order, and some expression of the text change minutely and create a different meaning. Sometimes, instead of text, an image appears on the front, and it is written with different descriptions at each moment of viewing. In this work, the text is not a fixed record, but a state of memory that is constantly updated and misread by the intervention of others. The movement of the viewer functions as an external force that changes the text or as a co-author of the narrative. As a result, the diary, which was a personal record, is shown to the audience in the name of the exhibition, converted to public text, and exists as a work that continuously conveys different messages visually. The number '0000' seems to have nothing recorded, but at the same time, it is also an initial value that everything can be overwritten. Like 00:00 on the clock, a number that appears as a code error, or an initial password, this number represents a state in which recording and erasing are not distinguished.
