<종이가 마르는 시간>은 연약한 자아와 그것의 불가역적 손상을 애니메이션 형식으로 풀어낸다. 물에 닿으면 젖어버리고 형태를 잃어버리는 종이의 물성을 통해, 외부 환경과 우연한 사건에 의해 훼손되고 변형하는 원형을 탐구하는 작업이다. 어느 날 태어난 종이인형은 예기치 않은 비를 맞게 되고 그때 ‘SON’이라는 절대적 존재가 등장하며 종이인형을 냉동고에 집어넣는다. 냉동고라는 장소는 단순한 보존의 공간을 넘어선다. 현실에서 젖은 책을 복원하기 위해 종종 냉동고에 넣곤 하는데, 젖은 부분의 부피가 커지며 쭈글쭈글해진 종이를 펼 수 있다. 냉동고는 자아가 자신의 복원하고자 시도하는 미세한 저항의 공간인 동시에 사방으로 꽉 막혀 자의적으로 나가기 어려운 회복의 불가능성을 보여 주는 역설의 무대로 작용한다.

    The Drying Time of Paper unravels the fragile self and its irreversible damage in the form of animation. It is a work to explore the external environment and the original shape that is damaged and transformed by accidental events through the physical properties of paper that gets wet and loses its shape when it comes into contact with water. The paper doll born one day is faced with an unexpected rain, and then an absolute existence called 'SON(meaning Hand in Korean)' appears, and puts the paper doll in the freezer. The place called the freezer is beyond just a space of preservation. In reality, to restore a wet book, it is often put in the freezer, and the volume of the wet part increases and the crumpled paper can be unfolded. The freezer is a space of fine resistance that the ego attempts to restore and at the same time acts as a stage for paradoxes that show the impossibility of recovery that is difficult to arbitrarily go out due to being blocked in all directions.
